A crushed Panama at the bottom of a suitcase. A wide-brim that never finds its shape again. A Borsalino you no longer dare to bring on the road. For those who love their hats, traveling is too often a compromise.
Nessihat was born from there. A French maison that designed KOVA, a cabin bag built to carry up to four hats, with the space, around them, for your essentials.
Travel with peace of mind. Your hats are in good hands.
It all started with a question. "How do you manage when you travel with your hats?" Asked once, then ten times, then again.
The maison searched. A few protective sleeves exist on the market, but none truly protect: fragile fabrics, basic finishes, designed as second-class accessories. Nothing, on the market, truly worthy of a hat.
Nessihat was born from this realization, and from a clear stance: not to create another sleeve, but a true travel bag. Selected materials, robust construction, cabin format. A piece designed for the long run, that carries hats the way they deserve.
"Not another sleeve — a true travel bag."
In 1855, at the Paris World's Fair, a hat from Ecuador caused a sensation. Hand-woven from toquilla straw, of unprecedented fineness, it captivated the capital. Parisians adopted it, even forgiving its misleading name: for this hat from Cuenca would forever be called "Panama."
A few decades later, the name traveled the other way. Paris, capital of the elegant who never went out without their Panama, came to be affectionately known as "Paname." The hat had passed its name to the city that loved it.
Nessihat inherits this geography, and inscribes it within its very name. "Nessia," in Hebrew, means journey. "Hat," in English, names the object itself.
From the woven straw of Cuenca to the streets of Paris, from Hebrew roots to French maisons, the same idea travels: that a hat is a part of yourself you carry on every journey.
Deborah K. founded Nessihat in 2025. Trained in fashion design and a passionate traveler (from the Mediterranean to the tropics), she has long loved wearing beautiful hats: for weddings, for events, for the sun.
The realization came from a trip. Her hats, carried as best they could be, arrived damaged for the ceremony that awaited them. The search for a solution led nowhere: on the market, nothing beautiful, nothing of quality. The path became clear: what was missing had to be created.
Nessihat first existed in her mind, for months. KOVA is its first piece. More editions are already on the way.

Nessihat is carried in a chosen number of hatmakers and concept stores. A way to preserve the bond between the maison and those who wear its pieces.
Every piece is made to travel. Cabin format, materials selected for the long run, four ways to carry — by hand, over the shoulder, on the back, and on a suitcase. KOVA is designed as a companion of the road, not as a sedentary object.
No fast seasons, no forced novelties. Each edition is conceived, refined, delivered when ready, never before.
